Help! Can't take apart ikea malm bed
Hey guys,
So I am moving this weekend and I'm trying to take apart this bed and I just can't seem to get this loosen. I lines the arrow but nothing happens. Any help on this!!?? Driving me nuts

You'll have to remove the mattress support rod first to get to the other nut.

That is not a screw, it turns part way and you pull the other side out
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

you have to keep turning, it will unlock the boards

I kept turning and turning and turning but nothing. It eventually gets extremely hard to turn. Almost to the point where I feel it's gonna snap. Pretty much used 90% of my strength and I stopped

Its not a screw, it locks a screw thats pushed into its side into place, turn it and pull the other board out. If the other board is not coming out you turned the wrong direction, try the other direction all the way and pull the board attached to it out. You may have to loosen all those the adjacent board is attached to before it will pull out.
If it will help you find the directions for it (if you have them or check ikea's website) and follow it in reverse.

You were right. There was another one behind the support bar. That pic I posted is from online. On my own bed, it was fully covered, so I couldn't tell. Once I removed the support frsme, I saw it. It's all good now!! Thanks all for ur help!!
