Very SqueakyKatelynAlthough have tightened and readjusted all the pieces, still has a constant squeak. Unfortunate, as when fixed then only is un squeaky for a use or two.3

Not worth itAbbagayleI bought this bed frame to use in my student house. Putting it together was rather easy but I do have my fair share of experience with ikea furniture. After just a couple months of having the bed frame the wooden slats became very loose and would often slip off the metal piece. Any sudden movements would result in the bed completely falling through to the ground due to the lack of support from the slats. Since I have had to put the slats back on the railing multiple times it caused the metal piece to snap due to pressure from the bed and wooden pieces being out of place. My bed is currently in the bed frame but basically on the ground and I have to repurchase more wooden slats and a new metal bar. Not happy about this and would not recommend this bed frame to anyone. 3

Worst bed frame I have ever had! BetzyThe first time we got this bed from the start it moved around an, it was loud making creaking sounds and everything even by just moving a little. Than not even a year later it broke right in the middle, we got a second one because IKEA offered us an exchange for the first one breaking, once again not even a year, and me and my partner were sleeping at 4Am and the middle medal part came off and broke the wood! save your money do not get this bed. 1

Step 4 of the instructions needs revisionBobThe bed installed all right in the end but I got hung up needlessly on Step 4 because the illustration was wrong. Do not place the circular cams flush with the frame as they will not engage with the metal posts. They must be pushed in deeper than illustrated. Hopefully, this will save others a bunch of time.4

Squeaky bedUnum ZiaThis bed makes noise even with the slightest movement and disturbs sleep. I got it assembled from the assembly service professional so i know that it was rightly put together. I use it very carefully, even then i am always nervous that it might fall apart1

Doesn't work with box spring ImaneI'm so disappointed at IKEA this bed is good however I got a very expensive mattress and was advised to keep it on the spring boxes , however with the sides of this bed very high it was very ugly . Called the customer service they couldn't do nothing about it why wouldn't the IKEA do another model with sides that could reach the floor . 2

HANKY PANKY REVIEWPabloHEY!!!Okay I'll just break it down in pros, cons and notes.PROS: -Quick delivery-Beautiful and simple design-Can fit that thicc queen size bed. -Very clear instructions.-Can be assembled with just one person. easily with two. -In regards to "not sleeping", the bed can hold up as long as you not having some kind of wrestling match. will make noise.CONS: -almost entirely made of particle/fibre board, this means its light but not durable as wood. -the thin metal bars that go diagonally in the corners of the bed to support the base board did not screw on (holes where they would be screwed on are too big) -unable to have a wrestling match NOTES:-At $400 this includes just one base board set. I purchased another and BRAIDED them for extra durability. extremely worth it. extra base board fits perfectly.-felt stickers were added on the bottom of the bed. so far not creaky but I can imagine it will be. you can add braces to further reinforce the bed. -its a recommendable bed.4

Not Very SturdyOliviaI’ve had this bed frame for about 4 years now and I find it’s not sturdy at all. I am constantly having to readjust the slats holding the mattress up, and I hardly move! One time it was caused by putting on my bed sheets. Beyond that it’s fine, definitely hard to assemble.3

Very disappointing SherThe slats will fall down on you randomly without warning. It’s literally 1:43am and my bed keeps falling apart. 0/10 would not recommend. I’ve had my malm bed for 3 years now and I regret not complaining earlier on when I first bought it, but was 2021 and shopping was a hassle. Spare yourselves the headache and avoid. It’s an annoying when it just keeps falling apart while you’re trying your hardest to pick up all the slats and the ones on the head of the bed start falling when you reach end and you have to start all over again. If you do buy this bed complain and return it the very first time it falls apart. 2

Only identified online that they are packaged separately and included in paid cost. Unable to order for delivery without re-purchasing pieces for additional $70 CAD + taxes and shipping.2
